NERO stands for New England Roleplaying Organization (though it has clearly spread far beyond that). It is an association of live action roleplaying games (LARPs) that share a rules set and a game world. Because of this, you can create your character at a NERO chapter in Pennsylvania and go play that same character with all the same items and abilities at a NERO game in California. However, each local chapter is run by different people, so NERO South Georgia might have a different feel than other NERO games.
